Sementeira
Started in a seedling tray with subsequent transplanting to the final location. Indeterminate varieties require wider spacing than determinate varieties.
A vigorous tomato that defies the calendar — harvested in summer, enjoyed in winter.
About the variety. Small, cylindrical fruits (50–60 g) with a pinkish-grey skin on the outside and bright red flesh inside. The exceptionally thick skin is the great advantage of this traditional variety: it allows the fruits to be stored for several months in dark, cool places. Determinate habit, no staking required.
