Jalapeño Pepper

The Jalapeño is perhaps the most recognisable hot pepper in the world, with its thick-walled fruits and characteristic corky streaks that signal full, rich flavour.

About the variety. A determinate plant, it produces narrow, oval fruits of around 7 cm that ripen from green to red. The thick flesh makes it ideal for pickling; the corky striations on the skin are a traditional indicator of quality.
