Cucumber-leaf sunflower

A sunflower unlike anything you know: spreading, lush and resilient, capable of transforming a dry, forgotten corner into a celebration of flowers.

About the variety. The cucumber-leaf sunflower does not form a single imposing head but a tapestry of small yellow heads with a dark centre on a highly branched shrub that reaches 170 cm. It adapts to poor, dry soils without needing regular watering — a real advantage in hot climates or low-maintenance gardens. A top-class nectar plant, it attracts bees, butterflies and beneficial insects in large numbers. Good companion plants: corn, bean, lettuce, luffa and lupin.
